Appeals

The Refugee Legal Centre offers representation on first stage appeal and in selected cases representation for reconsideration to the Immigration and Asylum Tribunal and the High Court.

If your application is refused by the Home Office the Refugee Legal Centre we may be able to help complete your appeal form and assist you in preparing for the appeal.

In accordance with our contract we are required to carry out a “merit test” on your case assessing whether there would be sufficient chance of success or not. If we consider there to be sufficient chance of success we will be able to help you further with your appeal. If we consider there is not sufficient chance of success we will not be able to assist you further with your appeal.

In selected cases we can offer assistance with reconsideration of an appeal to the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal and to the higher courts.

We assist detained and non-detained clients with their appeal.

We can assist with deportation appeals, and give advice regarding administrative removal and its implications in contrast to deportation.
